Cutting Chai
Chai is not really food, but I had to include it on this list because of its importance and dominance in every Mumbaikar. Chai in Mumbai is just as delicious. The joy of visiting Mumbai is drinking cup of hot Chai on the side of street with your friends-(bhai, bro, panter, bhidu, or bantai). You just shout at Maharaj (chai seller), "Maharaj do cutting" and he'll serve you the most delicious hot chai.
The tea is usually brewed quite strong, then supplemented with plenty of creamy milk, and seasoned with cardamom, masala, or ginger to give it an extra kick of flavor and spice.Chai offers a time to take rest from hectic or busy schedule and you can enjoy every sip of hot chai for release strees.
Where: You’ll find Chai all over the city.
